NerVFIX® nerve regeneration conduit
NerVFIX® is a nerve regeneration conduit, decellularized, freeze-dried and sterile made of allogeneic artery and vein from umbilical cord. It is authorized by the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute (the German competent authority) and authorized by the ANSM for interventions on peripheral nerves regeneration in 2 ways:
- as a conduit for a gap < 2 cm
- as a wrapping after the peripheral nerve is sutured
Its biological tubular structure boosts a fast axonal regrowth and oriented with remyelinisation (sensory and motor recovery as part of concept proof on animals).
It is biocompatible and resorbable in 8 to 12 weeks (pre-clinical animal cases).
